Road surface, 14th October
The road surface on the main road outside Toll Bar Close / Bar Farm is causing terrible noise and my house shakes when lorries and large vehicles drive by. The lorries are hitting an uneven road surface which creates extreme noise. The side roads around Hambleton were re-surfaced a while ago, but the main road was not and this has the most traffic passing through. I am aware that other residents are experiencing the same thing . It is bad enough that the cars and lorries speed through the village, but at least if the main road was re-surfaced it might help to some degree.

Excessive car parking and visitors, 8th July
The household at No.29 has 3 cars. In addition to this they have an additional 2 - 4 cars parking at the bottom of the street.
This makes accessibility to residents driveways difficult.
I think the this issue to the fact they are running multiple businesses from this address. A plumbing business, a gym from their garage and a gardening business.
They park on both sides of the street making access for vans and waste trucks impossible.

Conifers fly tipped, 28th March
This area is continuously being used to fly tip anything & everything. In my opinion, the council needs to be more proactive in catching & deterring fly tippers by naming & shaming, plus increasing sentences / fines.

Fence Line needs re-erecting on Hough Lane., 15th March
The permission & agreement was on completion of the felling & replanting of saplings at Hambleton Hough woods, Selby District Council contractors would re-erected the fence line that they removed in order to access the woods with their machinery.
Without this fence line in place, some visitors to the woods are beginning to park their vehicles on the private road, which in turn narrows the passing places for the residents. & those individuals that park half on & half off the road are causing the edge of the tarmac on the private road to crack & disintegrate, creating potholes, compacting the earth where in Spring, clusters of snowdrops & carpets of bluebells would normal thrive.
