Small drain uncovered outside number 7 Moorlands Close, 7th November
There's a small drain just outsider number 7 Moorlands Close, Castleton. It's big enough for someone's foot to go into and could cause some serious harm for someone. There are a lot of elderly people on that street. Noticed last week, not sure how long it's been missing it's cover. Is harder to spot with the dark evenings.

Potholes, 9th July
When driving from Castleton toward Danby there are 3 large potholes projecting into the road. As the road is curved they are unseen until the last moment. If they are full of water their severity is not obvious. There is insufficient road width for two cars to pass at this point without one going into the potholes. Note there is also a large pothole on the rail bridge situated just to the east. This applies in both directions of travel and again causes problems when car meet on the bridge.

A succession of potholes, 27th March
There are a number of potholes varying in depth up to four inches along this section of road, mainly on the south side. There is also a section near the barn where the edge of the road is crumbling. As the drains are blocked there is a constant stream running down that side of the road and filling the holes with water.
