Potholes and bad drainage, 17th November
The entire road is one giant pothole. With the rain over the last few weeks the road is also now flooding badly in many places. This road is being used as a diversion for a week but is a regularly used road and is in terrible disrepair and needs attention

Surface water ponds in the road and floods my driveway, 25th October
The gutter simply doesn’t work, the road and pavement levels are all wrong, it’s too high at the gulley and it ponds at my driveway and over the road and all the way up the road too. I have reported this several times over the last 3 years and nothing ever gets done about it. The pavement and kerb are also too low to contain the surface water within the road. It’s gotten visibly worse over recent weeks and is continually causing damage to my driveway.

The road, kerb and pavement has sunk, 28th September
The kerb is not containing the surface water to the road. It’s coming across the pavement and up my driveway and has created a sink hole which is getting bigger by the day. I’ve had to sand bag it off to divert the rai water back into the road.

No Street or Sign Illumination, 5th December
Bollards before and after the junction to King Rudding Lane are not illuminated and street lighting along this stretch is not lit. The bollards are invisible at night even in clear conditions. The refuge islands are an accident waiting to happen should anyone be close to the white line or considering an overtake. If power cannot be restored perhaps flashing amber beacons would highlight its position.

Poor workmanship., 24th May
The issue is badly repaired potholes. They have used a cheap substitute for tarmac. The tarmac has now been layed more than 8 hours and it is still sticky and wet, it has the consistency of syrup. A car has driven over one of the bodged up repaid potholes and displaced the tarmac. The location of the bodged work is opposite number 8 Chapel lane

Street lighting not working, 4th January
The street lights on the street that have a system whereas the majority turn off between 12am and 5am have started turning off early evening so at 6pm there is only one light on and the street is very dark

Traffic light sensors not working, 15th July
The traffic light sensors appear to have stopped working so the lights have defaulted to a slow cycle round all the options leaving everybody waiting for far longer than has been the case for at least the last 24 years. It happened a few months ago and then was fixed but has failed again.

Parents parking dangerously at road junctions, 29th May
Parents are parking on junctions to Silver Street, Church Street and The Hawthorns when dropping off, picking up there children from school. This makes it dangerous for pedestrians having to step around cars with reduced visibility of the roads. This is also a hazard for road users as junctions are blocked forcing motorists to drive on the wrong side of the road to get out of junctions.
I'm sure you will agree this is not ideal for either pedestrians or motorists.
There is ample parking further along Silver Street or Church Street which would not hinder parents, motorists during the school run.
