FIXMYSTREET IN YO19 5EP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of YO19 5EP:
40 to 50 potholes, 16th April
The section of road next to THE YORK MAZE on the B1228 is a massive health and safety issue now as the road is breaking up on a daily basis and is an accident waiting to happen. the amount of large pot holes from the roundabout 1079 down the B1228 towards THE YORK MAZE is absolutely ridiculous. Bikes don't stand a chance of missing them and swerving into traffic and vehicles driving down the middle of the road to avoid the pot holes at speed is a nightmare . this needs looking at immediately not just marking them red for weeks on end and then just fixing one pot hole but leaving the next 10 just metres away. multiple small accidents have happened since Christmas already all due to the state of the road but its a case of when not if that a major accident will happen. I invite you to drive to York maze and back up to the 1079 roundabout to see for yourself.

The entire road is a hazard, 21st March
The majority of the road, when heading towards York from Elvington, is full of potholes. It is bad in a car, but I actively refuse to cycle on the road because I feel it is too dangerous with the amount of potholes for cyclists.
The potholes have been here for months and are just getting worse as each day goes by.

Whole road needs to be completely resurfaced., 19th February
The whole road from Elvington village to the Grimston bar roundabout needs to be resurfaced. The potholes and general road surface are particularly bad near the York maze entrance. I have recently started driving on this road on the way to work and struggle to avoid the potholes on this whole stretch and rattles my car to bits no matter how slow I drive.
