Bus Stop to close to junction, 27th September
Bus stop is located too close to a junction. Scalby Road is a very busy main road needs moving 50-100 meters up Station Road to avoid the backing up of traffic from station road in to Scalby road. This has always been a problem but now much worse due to the housing estate that's been built nearby.

Atrocious state of the road with a series of potholes, 28th February
To either side of the entrance to the Caravan and Camping Site on Field Lane, Scalby the state of repair of the road is extremely poor and now several potholes have appeared. There is no chance of avoiding them due to the nature of the road. Dangerous to pedestrians, drivers and cars

Lots of potholes across the crissing, 10th November
Vehicles with trailers hit the holes and bounce down the hill, causing my house to vibrate. It happens early in a morning and at tea time. I notified NYCC and they informed me they could not afford to put it right

Drainage grid loose oposite 32a high street Burniston Scarborough, 10th October
A large drain cover which is marked with a yellow cross,the grid is causing a loud clunking noise 24/7 and is hit by every vehiclle passing from Scarborough to Whitby on the A171, this is now causing myself and nighbours major upset due to nothing being done to rectify the problem despite being reported. please can someone at least look at this problem asap

3 way traffic control, 6th August
This has been put in place during the week. However the amount of heavy goods vehicles and “plant” accessing the Keepmoat building site off Mill Way is causing chaos. It is extremely dangerous with vehicles mounting the pavement which only exists on one side and residents also parking on the road.

Dropped manhole cover outside number 472 Scalby Road, 20th May
The manhole cover is over run by most lorries and a lot of cars. The clatter noise it makes is causing severe noise disturbance to surrounding properties plus the possibility of damage to vehicles, especially should the manhole collapse, having some hundreds of 'hits' each day. This has been going on for at least one year.

Muddy road surface, 2nd February
Construction works leaving muddy road surface which is slippery to walk on. As there is no footpath here so walking on the road cannot be avoided. Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, employers have a duty to look after the health and safety, not only of themselves, their family and employees, but of anyone who may be affected by their working operations.

Bollard is trip hazard, 12th August
There is s narrow walk through section and a couple of yards away is a bollard. In the dark the bollard cannot be seen and is a trip hazard. I know, I just tripped over it even though I've passed that point many times before! It's easily done when it's 'invisible.' It doesn't really need to be there, it is a health and safety hazard, so recommend its removal ASAP. Thank you.

Unofficial road sign, 16th March
Road sign is non compliant. This is one of several in the vicinity that have an incorrect yellow background. The matter was originally reported to NYCC two years ago (April 2013) and has never been remedied despite an assurance it would be.
