In heavy rain fall water streams across the M5 southbound carriageway in 2 locations, 19th December
M5 South after J7 After the downhill section having passed Whittington junction 7, in heavy rain water pours across the southbound carriageway with the potential to cause aquaplaning. Also Note: The exact same issue is happening just after the entrance to Strensham Services heading M5 Southbound and just before the exit to the M50. Having worked on the motorways some years ago I know this is in contravention of the Highways Act where water egress should never flow across motorway carriageways. Both of these 2 issues are potential death traps. Please address the drainage or road in these areas.

Poor signage on slip road for lanes on upcoming roundabout M5 Southbound, 25th May
When leaving the motorway there is no clear sign about which lane goes in which direction at the roundabout. Standard practice is that the right lane goes right and the left lane would go left or straight on however the limited markings on the road seem to indicate that you can go right in both lanes, although these aren't fully clear either. I have seen several near crashes caused by this with some people choosing to be in the left lane to go right, and others in the right lane thinking they are in the correct lane and nearly merging into the car in the left. I myself have been in both lanes and been honked at various times and the truth of it is I'm not sure who is in the right and who is in the wrong. Could a clear road sign indicating lane usage be erected on the slip road exit, as well as clear marking put on the roundabout
Thanks

Faded road markings, M5 jct7 slip lanes, 8th March
There used to be white road markings to indicate the pedestrian crossing points on all four slip lanes at the M5 jct7 island. These roads marking are now faded/non-existent and should be re-laid. The markings provide a useful cue to motorists that pedestrians regularly cross at these points.

Lane markings rubbed away M5 roadworks Southbound J7, 22nd January
Through the roadworks on southbound M5 at J7 and onwards the lane markings have washed away making it unclear where the lanes are. This has been visibly getting worse over the last couple of weeks.
Although this is a risk in itself, the main concern is where the lanes move back across and ‘merge’. While driving, although I was in the left hand lane, vehicles from the centre lane didn’t move across as expected and continued driving showing that the unclear markings are causing drivers to be unsure and could cause an accident.

Confusing road markings causing cars to leave their lane, 23rd December
We've just been through the roadworks by junction 7 on the southbound M5 and the road original road markings haven't been removed so a lot of cars are merging from lane 2 to 1 while lane 1 moves from the hard shoulder to lane 1 and a number of people came very close to having an accident. It would be worth having a review of the markings here.
