Dangerous overgrown trees, 3rd May
Subject: Request for Trimming Overgrown Trees on Council Grass Verge
Paul Smith 364 High Rd WD25 7EQ smithini@aol.com 07748997066 26/4/24
Dear [Recipient's Name],
I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of concern regarding the overgrown trees situated opposite my residence at 364 High Rd leavesden Watford WD25 7EQ These trees are located on the council grass verge road side and have become excessively overgrown, causing various issues for both myself and the community.
The overgrown tree branches are extending dangerously over the road posing a potential hazard to both pedestrians and motorists. My car has been damaged twice from falling branches just last week a oak tree came down in Abbott Langley village which has caused me great concern if one of the oak trees opposite my house were to come down they would destroy my house they are in urgent need of cutting back there is excessive amounts of dead wood
Given that these trees are situated on the council grass verge, I believe it is the responsibility of the local council to ensure their maintenance and upkeep. Therefore, I kindly request that the council take prompt action to address this issue by trimming or pruning the overgrown trees to alleviate the concerns raised.
Furthermore, I would appreciate if the council could provide information on their schedule for routine maintenance of trees on grass verges, as well as any specific plans to address the overgrowth in our neighbourhood.
I trust that the local council will prioritise this matter and take the necessary steps to resolve it in a timely manner. Your attention to this issue is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to a positive response This is a formal request that I would like logged by your council because if any damaged does occur by these overgrown trees I would like it known that a request to cut back the aforementioned trees has been asked for by my neighbours & myself we have been requesting this to be done on many occasions & they have never been cut back & l have lived here for 30 years these trees are road side & your responsibility
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely, Paul Smith]
