Shop owner littering the pavements, 19th April
A shop owner who is next door to the chemist in Queens avenue at the bottom of stairs seems to think that the pavements are a bin and throws his cigarette butts on the floor outside his shop when there is a bin right opposite his shop. Too far to walk I think but it’s disgusting and disgraceful. This shop owner needs to be told that littering in public carries a fine does it not. There are dozens and dozens of cigarette butts outside his shop and on the concrete stairs next to the chemist.

Pothole on HBC side of the boundary, 8th April
Just before the bridge, going north.
Following email received from KMBC
Tarmac Highways Maintenance carry out repairs and maintenance on the footways and carriageways on behalf of KMBC.
Lower Road is partly adopted by KMBC and partly adopted by Halton Borough Council. Please see the adoptions mapping image below (the carriageway that is highlighted in blue is KMBC adopted highway).
The routine inspection was carried out this morning along Lower Road, from which our inspector has raised and submitted jobs to KMBC for approval for any actionable defects. He has however advised us that there we no actionable potholes on the KMBC adopted carriageway near to the railway bridge/HBC boundary, therefore unfortunately we are unable to assist you further with this enquiry. You would need to refer this on to HBC.

Junction of potholes and uneven road surface!, 20th February
The junction at Hale road traffic lights and Ditton Road near the flyover of the Speke Boulevard is a disgrace. It’s full of potholes, the grids are either sunken or raised and the road surface is uneven. This has been like this for as long as I can remember. What is being done to rectify this problem.

Speed ramps NOT Speed bumps!, 15th February
I agree with everyone on here about the speeding on Ditchfield road it’s shocking. The speed bumps that were fitted and supposed to slow down speeding vehicles down does nothing of the sort as most modern cars and other vehicles drive straight over them without it effecting there speed at all. I believe the solution would be to remove these speed bumps completely and replace with speed ramps from kerb to kerb like the one on Dundalk road outside the community centre. Something to think about perhaps ??
