FIXMYSTREET IN WA4 4JR
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of WA4 4JR:
Multiple potholes, 6th April
Multiple potholes on M56 near to J11. They need to be repaired as it's a danger, forcing people to suddenly swerve at high speed to avoid them. The road is starting to look like something from a third world country and should be brought up to the standards expected of a first world country. Also further along the M56 some of the road signs are peeling away and cannot be read properly.

Pothole, 6th March
Large pothole in the edge of lane 1 east bound of the M56 at junction 11. I went over this at about 55mph. The pothole jilted my car violently and I am amazed the tyres are still attached. The side wall of the tyre compressed so much it removed some dirt off the wheel rim. The car felt like it had taken a big hit and stunned me for a few seconds.

Pothole between lanes just after j11 eastbound, 29th February
I joined the M56 at Junction 11 this morning just before 6:20. After joining the motorway I changed lanes to overtake a slower moving vehicle and when moving between lanes I drove straight through this pothole with a loud bang. It was low light so not sure how wide and deep and I didn’t spot it until too late, but it has blown out both my front and rear offside tyres. I am an infrequent user of the motorway so I’m not sure how long this has been a problem.

Dead rare birds, 24th February
It seems you have instructed the destruction of woodland adjacent to the M56 between J10 and j11. These were healthy trees - the home of 3 species of owl. It also provided important visual and sound screening. Why have local residents not been consulted on this destructive decision? In 2 weeks well over 100 trees have been felled. We are informed work is scheduled for another month. I cannot imagine the damage to the environment that this will cause. I would like to see the plans, justification and reason why residents were not consulted.

Two sets of traffic lights that control cars approaching or leaving the south side of the M56 J11 Preston Brook Interchange roundabout were out/not working on the evening of 19th December 2023. These lights may still not be working.
Any cars on the roundabout taking (or entering the roundabout from) the south exit/approach onto (or off) the A56 / Chester Road, are affected. Those also leaving the roundabout on the oneway exit that takes you westbound on the M56 are affected.

Traffic lights not working, 19th December
I can see this issue was already reported on Friday 15th December. Five days later and they are still not working. There are four sets of lights on this roundabout, two sets are out. No signage has been erected to alert motorists either. Also, one traffic light (at the exit of the M56 North bound) has come off its column and is on the floor. This has been like this for a couple of months.
These need urgent attention before there is a serious RTA.
