Uneven surface/ the car is jumping up and down, 29th April
Im sorry if that it was reported before, but the motorway between manchester and Liverpool and mainly the part before the junction for Preston is under any comment… that is dangerous especially the middle two lanes. The cars are jumping all over the road… Second and not last there is a marks from the previous repairs which are confusing the newest lane keeping systems. The road is not suitable for normal use…

Pothole, 12th February
Afternoon, I would like to bring to your attention the following. On the eastbound carriageway between J11 and J10 in lanes 2 and 3 there are numerous potholes that stretch continuously for approximately 1/2 mile. They are long, quite deep and thin. They provide a major hazard to motorcycles. During the day these can be seen and avoided however at night that section of the motorway is unlit. The potholes cannot be seen and for a motorcyclist who doesn't know the area they would be at significant risk of running into these when changing lanes. This has a significant risk of destabilising the bike and throwing the rider resulting in serious injury or death. I believe that immediate inspection is required to deal with this issue before someone is seriously hurt or worst. Thank you.

Long continuous run of potholes, 11th February
A large stretch on the east bound side, mainly the third lane, is affected. It looks like the process used to remove temporary white lane markings has caused very deep ridges in the motorway surface. Some areas are extremely difficult to drive on, causing drivers to move to other lanes. The damage is getting progressively worse so needs addressing asap to avoid damage to cars and potential accidents.

Potholes in both lanes 2 and 3 eastbound just after the jctn 11 entry point. Long strips of potholes within the lanes where cats eyes have been during roadworks but also a few much wider and deep holes in some places along the strips that cause vehicles to veer of course when travelling at speed.

Pothole, 30th January
Huge long pot hole on lane two after you get on the m62 at birchwood and go towards Manchester. It says things have already been reported but the dates are December and July 2023. This is a risk and could burst a tyre. Lane 2 has had loads of potholes for a while but it has got worse because they’ve never been fixed

Uneven / subsided road surface large area, 28th December
Entire road section just prior to J11 on westbound M62 appears to be very bumpy and uneven as if it has subsided. Been like this for considerable amount of time and many vehicles are caught be surprise by the poor quality. Disappointing given recent this motorway was recently upgraded and potential for an accident.

M62 B 34.5 lane 2, 31st July
At the peak of one of the bumps, small pothole opening up, lane 2, at the peak of the biggest hump. I remember a trailer becoming unhitched from a vehicle at a bump at this location several years ago. You ended up resurfacing the whole stretch of motorway for miles. Time to consider when to schedule this work again?

Uneven Surface, 17th July
How long do we need to put up with driving on what can only be described as a roller coaster. I appreciate there’s signs saying uneven surface but for gods sake it’s abysmal. When are you going to address this? It’s been like this for years.

Sliproad would benefit from road markings, 5th June
The Eastbound sliproad at Junction 11 on the M62 is a single lane but splits into two lanes towards the roundabout. There is no left turn so effectively both lanes can be used to go right off the roundabout at the end of the sliproad. However, very few people use the left lane which increases the risk of tailbacks onto the motorway creating a hazardous situation. I think it would help improve the flow of traffic off the sliproad and reduce the risk of a serious accident if both lanes had road markings to show that both lanes can be used to turn right on the roundabout.
