Monksbrisge Road surface is in a shocking and dangerous state, especially for cyclists, 14th April
The road surface has been decaying for some time and is one of the two main routes out of the town and the main route out from Higher Brixham.
This is a health and safety hazard for all road users but on a cycle, and I use this road daily on my commute to work it is becoming increasingly dangerous

Dangerous Debris on Main Road, 2nd April
Between Monksbridge and Lupton House, The road has a lot of debris on it. It is dangerous because this road has a 40 mph speed limit, and I can't cycle close to the kerb, it gets worse every year. I know there is not a kerb all along this road, but where there is a kerb you can't see it. On the other side of this road there is a "cycle path", unfortunately the cycle path is only 1 metre in width in some places, hardly enough room for a pedestrian and a bike. Again this cycle path gets narrower every year!

Stae of the Road and pavement, 27th March
King Street from Dilly Dallies Cafe up to the roadabout junction with Ranscombe Road is nothing short of a disgrace for the town and one of its main arterial roads. The road is littered with partially filled holes and pot holes. The pavement is a danger to those 100's of elderly patients forced to use the road and it pavement to collect there prescriptions from Day Lewis in the Fore Street now that Compass House Pharmacy is closed. No one seems to care until someone gets hurt and sues the council until that happens nothing will be done. Well this serves notice to the council that if something does happen then the Council will be held responsible by those injured due to the state of the road and pavement.

Unnecessary parking, 18th March
These cars parking on the left side going down are causing a dangers to cars coming up the hill which have priority. There should be double yellow lines because people drive down and up this road at speed and there are often near misses because the road is not wide enough and drivers going down do not wait for a clear space before proceeding especially white vans and lorries. This means on the up side cars etc have to brake or change gear down just when they need the acceleration to get up this steep hill. Except for loading or unloading and deliveries there us no need to park as all the properties have driveways.

One of two road traffic signs on Copythorne Road facing wrong way, 11th January
Once again someone has turned around one of two road traffic signs for the speed limit on Copythorne Road (where it changes from 30 mph to national speed limit). Heading down the hill (i.e. towards Brixham away from Churston Ferrers) drivers now see the sign on the left informing them the limit is the national speed limit ahead whilst the other sign informs them it is the 30 mph which is correct. When the sign is turned around to correct way is it possible to do something to make sure it does not happen again?
