Obstructed visibility from A38 Chudleigh Station Junction N/B slip road give way area, 3rd September
Despite your earlier report being closed, the vegetation growing from the trunk road estate over the bridge parapet adjacent to the southbound entry slip continues to significantly reduce visibility to the right from the northbound exit slip, to something like 20 metres. Visibility at this junction is poor at the best of times, due to the location of the bridge parapet. This has been an issue from before the beginning of August, as indicated by the date of your earlier report.
A visibility improvement scheme was undertaken at this location some years ago to improve visibility looking right towards Chudleigh, but hasn't been maintained.

Slippery road surface, 19th February
The A38 slip road road surface was recently relaid. Since then there has already been one accident where a vehicle has left the road as the road surface is slippery. This isn’t helped as it is on a corner and vehicles routinely now lose traction as they follow the slip road on to the A38, even if they are driving well under the posted speed limit and driving to the expected road conditions. Can a rougher/grippy road surface be laid?

Wooden telephone pole leaning into road, 2nd March
The pole is leaning into the road, as the road is narrow tall vehicles have been hitting it trying to avoid my stone wall. However my wall has been hit on numerous occasions knocking stones and debris onto the highway. Western Power who owned the pole have replaced it with a new one in a wider section of the road and asked Openreach on the 28/11/19 to move their wires to the new pole therefore enabling the old poles removal. Now that over 6 months have elapsed the pole is the sole property of Openreach. I have emailed Simon Cullen simon.cullen@openreach.co.uk Infrastructure solutions customer service over the past 9 months since it became their property. But the work has not yet been carried out. We have many walkers, runners, cyclists and horse riders using this road and Open reach have still not acted which I feel is negligent. Today I have had my wall repaired once again acting in good faith for the publics well being. But I shall not do it again. I hope you can make Open reach for fill their responsibilities. Yours faithfully Robert Millington

HGV illegaly parked on pavement., 6th August
This lorry frequently parks along this road and it is always parked on the pavement. There are underground services under this pavement, as such it is not designed for heavy Morris to park on. Also this lorry has narrowed the pavement and has become an obstacle as it is very close to a road calming junction.
The offending driver is from a company in Chudleigh called Glenspray Motors. 01626 854320 The road and pavement seems to be a parking area for vehicles they are working on. Most nights they have a firms van parked on the pavement for no good reason at all. If you look at the cracks on the pavements tarmac, ignorant acts like this just cause more unnecessary damage.
