FIXMYSTREET IN TQ11 0RB
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TQ11 0RB:
White lines no longer visible, 20th March
Lane markings on A384 are no longer visible (for a long time now). This results in cars approaching each other head on as they seek to get into where they feel the filter lane may be to turn onto the A38 in both directions. This will result in a head on collision unless sorted - I have seen several near misses.

Unauthorised Men accessing door in A38 bridge., 25th March
Scaffolding has been up since December with nobody working on it.
There are men, mainly wearing hoodies, climbing up the scaffolding sitting on it and going through the door under the bridge. Sometimes leaving the door open and sometimes closing it. Initially they were sitting on the top platform but I couldn't see what they were doing. They have now put up two tarpaulins and made a 'den', so it is impossible to see their activity. I have photographic evidence of these men on the scaffolding.

Raised repair/infill, 13th June
It is on the A38 eastbound shortly after you have driven past the Lower Dean slip road for Dean Prior Buckfastleigh B3380 and are continuing on the A38 eastbound. In the left lane only there is a ridge equivalent to a speed bump right across the left lane that is terrible to drive over – you cannot safely slow down enough to take it gently and my car goes over it with heck of a bang and jolt each time unless I can pull out in time to avoid it. I am worried it will damage mine and other vehicles. It is quite clearly raised a significant amount above the road surface. I don’t know if the material has expanded after a repair or it was always like that. It has been there for awhile but I am forcibly reminded every time I hit it!
Please could it be sorted before it causes an accident or damage – hitting it in icy conditions could be lethal.

Speed of road which customers go onto., 9th May
Hi, We just wondered whether there could be a speed change, or mirror installed on the Highways land for our customers. When leaving the Hotel, the speed which cars come around the corner is extremely hazardous but there is nothing we can put on our land that would help prevent a situation.

Broken facing leading onto the A38., 7th April
Under the A38 Bridge there is a sloped concrete area that did have fencing around it. The fencing next to Old Totnes Road has been broken for a couple of years meaning kids can easy get into this area. We live just down the road. Unfortunately my Autistic son ran off. He ran up onto the concrete slope under the A38. I noticed that the fence at the back at the corner has been broken off. Its clear people have been going through. This leads straight up to the A38. Luckily I managed to catch my son before he went through the last broken fence. It's rather worrying as people should not be going through this gap. Could this please be flagged as a priority as its dangerous.

Road markings very worn and hard to see where the lanes for turning begin or end, 1st April
I am not sure whether National highways is responsible for the road markings on the overbridge and the slip road approaches. If so these need to be re-painted as a matter of urgency as I witnessed a near miss on the right hand turning lane to go north on the A38 because the lines are very faint.
