Dangerous traffic lights at Puriton Hill, 25th January
The traffic lights at this junction are unclear and potentially dangerous. Traffic travelling up the hill to the junction (from the motorway) and turning right will see a single green light which many people will assume means that they can safely continue across the junction however traffic approaching the junction from the Glastonbury direction and turning right will also have a green filter light at the same time. In my opinion the traffic lights for traffic coming up the hill from the motorway should include a full set of lights for traffic turning right so that they have a red light, changing to a green filter light when the traffic coming from the Glastonbury direction has a red light. My guess is that locals are familiar with the idiosyncrasies of the phasing of the lights. I do not live in the area but have come close to being driven into when turning right at the junction, coming from the Glastonbury direction.
