Locked gates blocking the highway, 18th September
The farmer at Ashcombe Farm has taken to locking the gates across the highway, blocking the highway so access can’t be gained to Lydeard St Lawrence or Nethercott. It is one thing blocking the lane with his gates but locking them!! It is illegal!

Overhanging trees, 26th July
From Knights Farm up to Binfords Lane, approximately 1 mile, the hedges haven’t been cut for a number of years. Road becoming impassable for tractors and trailers.

Road surface needs scaping and sweeping by SW&TC, 18th May
Roads radiating from Combe Florey centre need repair and care. This has been reported on a number of occasions in the last year. Not done due to money not available. Please do now after the new financial year. The roads are Tower Lane and Combe Down Lane marked on the map as the worst spots.

Spillages of cattle slurry along Nethercott Way, a residential area., 22nd January
A local farmer regularly moves slurry from his livestock barn on Nethercott Lane to put on his other fields. He either overfills his trailer or there is a leak in it, but he regularly deposits quantities of slurry along the lane outside the houses on Nethercott Way.
