Vegetation obstructing footway+ defective road sign, 7th August
The footway along the B3227 between Preston Bowyer and Milverton is becoming obstructed by vegetation, so much so that, in several places, it is necessary to step out into the busy road to avoid being scratched or stung. In places the path is also slippery due to moss and rotting vegetation. It is becoming quite dangerous for pedestrians.
While on the subject, the PRESTON BOWYER village sign at the Milverton end of the village is in danger of falling off its posts. It requires re-fixing, please.

Blocked drain(s) outside Old Rectory Cottage, 26th March
The drain outside the cottage is blocked as water is backed up on the cover; further water pooling in the area of the gateway of The Old Rectory and in the ditch near the orchard gate aprox 25m east of the blocked drain.

Numerous large pot holes on the lane from the B3227 up to Heathfield Church h. They were 'repaired' within the last year but are back again to the same depth and size., 18th January
These numerous and large potholes were 'repaired' last year but have since reappeared as large and deep as before. Obviously badly repaired.

Somebody has dumped a pickup body tub and a spare wheel and tyre in the layby between Hillcommon and Preston Bowyer on the B3227., 4th January
The pickup body tub and wheel have been in the layby for some 2 to 3 weeks now.

Slippery tarmac on junction, 28th April
The junction of the B3227 and the Oake road has very shiny slippery tarmac with almost no grip in wet conditions. Pulling out from Oake to head East on the B3227 is particularly hazardous on a motorbike and in s car can result in wheel spin and little forward momentum.
