There is a significant amount of mud and stones dropped on the highway right on an S bend which is treacherous and an accident black spot at the best of times. The debris has probably been dropped by a tractor today but it poses a major safety hazard especially in this poor weather and now that it is night time. The S bend is at the end of a long straight and the is a slight adverse camber making conditions more risky if vehicles arrive at high speed and are unable to brake for the corners due to the slippery conditions. The hazard needs immediate warning signs erected and then the debris needs to be cleared tomorrow.

Due to flooding across and down roads near Chipley yesterday, there has been a large amount of small stones, mud and shingle left on the road and especially corners. We’ve had vehicles traveling too fast for the conditions yesterday as well as today and they skid and lose traction when hitting the mass of shingle and mud on the road. A few near misses but no collisions as yet. Just drivers going too fast as is the normal here unfortunately., 10th May
I’m a resident of the road in question and get to experience all the developments first hand.

Slurry on road and 12 ft up houses by open top slurry trailers, 22nd April
Trailers open top over filled not sheeted taking 90degree corner at unsafe speed contractors used by cottrells gundenham dairy reported to farm on day 21 april after which tanks on trailer were not filled so full and tractors took bend slower .this is an ongoing problem . no one from farm has apeared to clean up road or houses

Five or six rubble bags of carpeting waste dumped., 5th April
Someone has fly tipped black bags of rubbish here, right on the edge of the village. We are lucky that a sheep farmer has just taken on the field but this is horrible that their Gate way is blocked by some one who can’t be bothered to take their rubbish to the recycling centre. Please help.

Electric fence with no signs or plastic tubing, 29th December
Along public footpath, dog got shocked by the fence. She did not cross it just went next to it. The fence only seems to be on when sheep in the field. But there are no warning signs up for this.

Unable to turn in the cul de sac., 7th June
Our cul de sac has a turning area which is not on our neighbours drive, it is just the shape of the road which means people turn 'in front' of their drive. So they purposely leave a car parked on their dropped kerb which is obstructing the pavement. This means everyone now turns actually 'on' our driveway and we have been forced to put a cone on the end of our driveway, this works for the bulk of vehicles but many small ones still can turn on our dropped kerb. This is causing major issues as large vehicles have to reverse the whole way back up the road. Please can you look into this. It has been reported by others I believe.

2 Pots blocking highways passing space, 10th February
There are two pots blocking passing space on highways. The homeowner behind the gates has tarmacked the highways and pretending it belongs to her. The deeds and highways states it doesnt. The post are creating road issues and causing vehicles to drive into parking spaces where parked cars have been hit and children narrowly missed. The home owner with the pots also verbally assaults anyone who dares to move them aside to pass. This includes the food delivery firms that try valiantly to get down the road and turn.

Trees encroaching on road and narrowing road, 10th February
The hedge from the Court has overgrown to the point where lorries are finding it increasingly difficult to come down road without having to swerve towards our 300 year old wall and house. The hedge is often hit and damages vehicles and the trees further up the road are always touching the overline cables and tops of lorries. In summary the hedge and trees are encroaching on road and narrowing road to the point where vehicles and property are now being damaged.

Persistent flooding., 5th March
One drain was cleared in February (?) but has silted up again, as has the drain on the same side of the road approximately 18 metres further back towards Blockhouse.
