Leftover traffic cones, 13th April
Traffic cones were used in the car park for Abri residents off Prigg Lane when repairing a pothole, about 5-6 months ago. They are still in the car park, despite pothole being repaired

Lane not being maintained, 12th April
Whitfield Lane is in a dreadful state. It seems not to have been maintained for years, but the flooding at the end of 2023 has made things so much worse.

Poor road markings for changed road priorities, 4th April
2 lanes at this roundabout. Priorities changed some time ago; left lane straight "Local"; right lane for continuing on A303. There is no road sign for these lanes, and chevrons have been added which further obscure the single road marking for this important lane indication. My car was nearly taken out by someone cutting in from the left lane without indicating and then brake testing me for hooting my horn to object to being nearly swiped off the road. Further road markings or a road sign might make it safer for all road users (else take out the lane marking so that both lanes can continue on the A303.

Dangerous driving, 30th March
Lane control is not being used on the approach with the current use of information that has been painted on the carriageway (left lane for local traffic and right lane for either A303 or the village of South Petherton). Drivers are still using the left lane on the approach and dangerously cutting up other users in the correct lane around the round about. Very soon someone will either die or be seriously injured causing severe congestion. This has been reported to the police on many occasions and they have advised to report to you via these means. A proper road sign is required as so if anyone does cause an accident, they have no reason to blame you or anyone else but themselves.

Flooding, 4th January
Large flood, directly in front of residential driveway. Extremely dangerous to all who are attempting to enter and exit directly off busy, fast moving dual carriageway - visibility is obscured by all passing vehicles causing a wave of water to be pushed up and over the drive/vehicle, in turn, flooding our drive/property.

Flood / Stone, 3rd January
From October to March of every year for the past 4 years the users of Mill Lane, Lopen have to bear with flooding and standing water as attached photos....
The water sits on the road...
Potholes develop and the edge of the road breaks up...
Then we have to bear with a layer of stone and grit over the road, as attached photos....
Please can the reason for the flood be investigated and then addressed as they are a both a nuisance and danger to the public.

Signage required, 28th December
Apologies if this is already in hand but are there any plans to add some additional signs when coming up to the South Petherton roundabout, heading West, on the A303?
Not sure when the road markings were changed but I'm sure you know most people ignore them, or don't see them. When the traffic is stacked up you can't read the road markings anyway, or when the weather is bad.
Would it not be a good idea to add an actual sign asking for drivers to get into the right lane - with plenty of warning? So many still continue down the A303 despite being in the left lane, meant for local traffic, and I have seen several near misses.

I drove back from Merriott today 21st December 2023 and the road sign bollard at the end of the road from Lopen to Lopen Head roundabout is broken and lying in the road.
