FIXMYSTREET IN SM6 9GG
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of SM6 9GG:
Faulty Speed Camera, 3rd May
Good afternoon,
First of all, I would really like to say that getting to this point (where writing this message) took ages, the whole process is so unbelievable hard and made to give up before getting here, so not helpful at all! This is not a way of helping people, but just for them to give up when trying to report an issue! Shameful!
WHAT IS WRONG!? The speed camera on A23, Brighton Road, towards Gatwick, after passing Tesco (on the left side)! THAT CAMERA THAT FLASHES VEHICLES DRIVING 30MPH AND LOWER IN A 30MPH ZONE! STOP ROBBING PEOPLE! You should be shame! People driving 25 and less keep getting flashed by that speed camera supposed to flash 30/33 MPH above! That’s way too greedy authorities trying to steal peoples money! STOP IT!
I have footage & photos/screenshots from my professional camera fitted on my car driving 26MPH at 2AM and the above mentioned speed camera on a 30MPH flashed me WHAT FOR!? And other 2 cars that were about 200 m behind me the same, after seeing me being flashed!? AND NO WAY TO REPORT THIS ISSUE!?
This is horrendous what’s going on and happening! I HOPE I WON’T GET A FINE AS I’M GONNA PUBLISH THIS ALL OVER AND SUE ALL GREEDY RESPONSABLE AUTHORITIES AND OTHERS WILL FOLLOW ME I PROMISE!
Thank you!

Junction of Highfield Road with Plough Lane: No Yellow Lines, 30th April
There are no double yellow lines at the junction of Highfield Road with Plough Lane. This is unlike other junctions with Plough Lane. Cars are frequently parked very near this junction and present a hazard to moving traffic during busy periods as cars have to negotiate their way past the parked vehicles. This also interrupts flow along the road causing cars to queue and back-up.

Tree is expanding at its roots and damaging my property’s brick wall. It’s been reported in 2020 and nothing was done. The damage is now getting very profound and I cannot redecorate knowing it’ll revert to the same issue., 4th April
The tree that is positioned right outside of my property has its roots expanding to the point that the front of the property is now bulging and creating the damage to the brick wall. This was reported during Covid but was not dealt with. The damage is now so profound that the brick wall is splitting and completely damaged. I would require someone to please have a look at it as soon as possible as I cannot re erect the wall without further damage being caused if the tree keeps growing and expanding it’s roots under the public pathway directly effecting my property. Thank you.

Roadworks causing delays, 2nd April
The roadworks sign says roadworks finish at 5pm each day. Well at 6.20pm they were still there but no sign of anyone doing any work and there was a 20 minute queue of traffic going back along pampisford road.... if the road works are there for the extent of the works why is there a time on all of the signage?! And why hasn't the roundabout jist before the road works also been set up with traffic lights?! When the light turns green no one can go, due the build up of traffic coming from the right on the roundabout! Very poor signage and traffic management here.
