Parked or abandoned for over 6 months without any MOT, 25th April
Subject: Urgent Action Required: Removal of Abandoned Vehicle within Merton Council Area
Hello,
This car has been parked outside of our property within Merton’s boundary ( please see attached) for over 6 months.
I am writing to urgently request the removal of an abandoned vehicle that has been persistently parked within the Merton Council boundary for over six months. Despite previous notifications and concerns raised, the vehicle, remains stationary at outside 337 St helier ave.
This vehicle has not undergone a MOT inspection for an extended period and exhibits visible signs of neglect, including smashed windows. Its prolonged presence poses a significant risk to public safety and has become a source of considerable frustration for residents in the vicinity.
I implore the council to take immediate action to address this issue and arrange for the prompt removal of the abandoned vehicle. Failure to do so will compel me to escalate this matter to relevant authorities and councillors to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to resolve the situation swiftly.
It is crucial that the council prioritises the removal of abandoned vehicles to uphold the safety and aesthetic standards of our community. I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and attention it deserves.
Should you require any further information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this pressing matter.
Sincerely,
Syed

Parked or abandoned for over 6 months without any MOT, 23rd April
Hello, This car has been parked outside of our property for over 6 months.
It has smashed window and few weeks back my young son had almost injured himself by touching sharp edges of broken glass.
We have a young family of three children aged 5y, 2y and 2 months and have been struggling to park our own car.
Considering St Helier is a very fast road, my wife often risk going across with three kids.
The list of my revulsion will keep go on and on against this vehicle however would it be possible for you to please take some action to at least having cars keep moving for others to park as well.

Traffic signs and cones abandoned on footpaths and verges, 11th April
Council contractors repairing the footpaths in Newhouse Walk have left behind more than 30 traffic cones, 3 traffic signs and a bag of building sand. I previously reported this issue on 2nd April and it was passed to Merton Council reference SRQ-1080321-T9L2T1 I received an email saying its state was closed. Today is 11th April and the abandoned items have still not been removed so I am entering a new report. The cones and other items are getting in the way of residents, our refuse collectors and the people who mow the grass verges. Please get them removed.

Litter and grime/filth strewn over grassed area, 3rd April
As shown there is a problem here with rubbish being ripped out of the bins by foxes and simply allowed to remain there until it gets cleared up if EVER - this whole area was until very recently as shown in the photos but was cleaned up - ONLY A FEW DAYS LATER THE RUBBISH IS GETTING TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME - it REALLY IS NOT HEALTHY OR ACCEPTABLE.

Traffic cones and signs abandoned by Council contractors, 2nd April
Some weeks ago Council contractors resurfaced the footpaths in Newhouse Walk. They left behind a very large number of traffic cones along the footpaths between St Helier Avenue and the road part of Newhouse Walk, also some street signs and a large bag of spare paving material at the end of Newhouse Walk (close to the red van in the photo). This stuff has now been lying around for several weeks. Please would somebody take it away.
