Pothole at traffic light junction from leek new road to Norton lane, A large variety of potholes 50 metres either side of the Holden bridge on leek new road and the turn off to dairy fields estate. Large pothole on man hole on Nile street near Adelaide street junction. Paint lines require attention on Porthill roundabout. And finallly…. Dangerous parking on school run, 6th October
Hiya, we walk into school everyday and are becoming increasingly concerned about the parking outside Norton le moors school on drop off and collection times. There are plenty of parking and drop off spaces but for some reason parents choose to park half on the double yellows and half on the pavement. This prevents anyone with a pushchair or wheelchair from using the pavement and instead they have to walk onto the road. Ive witnessed a handful of very close misses over the last couple of weeks where cars have reversed and almost hit children that are walking in the road trying to avoid the parked cars. I did notice parking enforcement there recently which happened to be on a quiet day where the school had lots of afterschool clubs. Usually the worst days are Monday and Friday and extremely bad in bad weather. Is there any way we can arrange some cones, signs like other schools or if you have any other ideas before one if the school children gets injured? Many thanks
