Uneven surface following recent repair, 19th November

Thu, 19 Nov 2020 21:21:50 +0000
52.882075 -2.188013

Stretches of Eccleshall Rd along the whole length between Stone and Eccleshall have recently been repaired. In all cases the newly laid surface is rippled. This can be felt in a car, but it is far worse for cyclists. Most of these repairs are close to the kerb where cyclists are expected to ride. Similar repairs were done along the old section of Meece Road about a year ago. These have the same defect. Further I have come across exactly the same defect in recently completed work all around Stone, for example near Salt and Enson. It would seem to me that either the process or equipment being used is sub-standard. Is the work ever quality checked? Please note I am a cyclist and and this makes for very uncomfortable riding.

Dogs fouling, 16th February

Mon, 16 Feb 2015 08:52:10 +0000
52.861362 -2.201627

There are two Labrador dogs owned by a local family. they are walked down Searchlight Lane Chebsey with no leads and are allowed to foul on the verges. I have witnessed this. it bothers me because myself and my children walk the verges to access our land only to find dog mess. The popular time appears to be a Sunday morning around 11.00am when the family walk the dogs. Always in the same direction.

Blinding lights from new rail yard, 2nd February

Mon, 02 Feb 2015 18:27:32 +0000
52.8502284990942 -2.19102175979617

When driving along the road towards Little Bridgeford there are places where, at night, you are completely blinded by up to five of the large yard lights. These are brighter than main-beam headlights and it would be impossible to see a pedestrian or cyclist against them. The lights need re-aligning or masking.

'Temporary' traffic lights, 25th January

Mon, 25 Jan 2010 16:07:55 +0000
52.8591971396867 -2.18663273178355

These, apparently, temporary lights are frequently set permanently on one colour, most recently on red for nearly 24hours!, regular users of this road know that they must often be ignored. Further, coming from Norton Bridge direction if the lights are green as one catches first sight of them, the only way to get through is to accelerate up to 60 to 70mph (unsafe/illegal) here)- an accident will ensue shortly against the concrete blocks (carefully disguised in tree green paint). What about a useful telephone contact for the operator - too simple I suppose?
