Road is disintegrating, 13th April
The whole of Hollins lane is disintegrating due to its constant use by agricultural vehicles and tankers that are too wide ( wider than the metalled surface, too heavy ( many slurry tankers weigh in excess of 20 tonnes) and this traffic travelling far to fast on a road of limited thickness. As a result the entire carriageway is cracked down the centre and the edges are eroded to 1/3 the width of the road from BOTH sides. It is impassible for cars and dangerous for motor bikes. STAFFS CC do nothing despite many repeated reports and emails to the MP and head of Highways. At best Amey come out and drop a bit of weak tarmac into a few holes. It is uncompressed and not edge sealed and is pulled out the first time a tractor goes over it. AMEY are a disgrace charging for every pot hole so they get multiple payments for the same work as it is destroyed within days!

Overhanging hedgerows - brambles, nettles and shrubs with slurry across the footpath which needs resurfacing, 9th August
I have complained to the Parish Council many times and on the last occasion when I sent photographs they were sending a strong letter to the Staffordshire District Council. Nothing has been done. The hedges which are overgrown with nettles and brambles - I actually saw a mother wheeling her pram with her toddler alongside coming home from school with a pair of scissors to cut the protruding nettles etc so that she could pass safely with her children. I too experienced this problem only this weekend when I had my 4month old grand daughter in a pram and I wheeled/walked to Kingsley Holt and back along the footpath. The slurry (this runs across the pavement from the silage at the farm) is unhygienic and school children walk along this road to school - which I understand is classed as a 'D' road - but cannot understand why? It is a regular bus route to Hanley and to the school. It is a very busy road.PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT.

Bin bags, 23rd June
We had our bin emptied from "Windy Ridge" Hazlescross rd which we have to leave at the bottom of the driveway by "Newhall Farm" when i collected my empty bin or should of been someone had placed a black bin bag with food, plastic, tin foil in my bin. This also happened to my neighbour at "Windy Hollow" a couple of weeks ago. I have now placed the bin bag at the end of the drive by the bench and rose garden next to newhall farm. I am guessing this may be people from Newhall Street as they dont recycle and have yellow stickers on their bin, its seems very strange that i noticed on Monday night their recycle bin was overflowing but I know the waste collector guys would not have taken it due to it never being sorted in the correct bins. I will call your office tomorrow to advise you as the telephone lines are now closed. Regards Wendy Rigby Windy Ridge Hazlescross rd Kingsley
