Huge potholes hidden by floodwater, 14th March
Huge potholes, road flooded kerb to kerb. 4 vehicles have had tyres and wheels destroyed today including mine. I will be claiming for damage to Highways.

2 foot wide pothole, gone through the wearing course into the base layer. Over 4 foot long, 29th February
Pot hole can’t be seen on a busy poorly lit road. Needs urgent repair due to noise to neighbours, this will keep neighbours awake!! and potential to get larger and damage cars

Street lights are intermittent (pair), 27th February
Previously reported as Herts County Council ticket 401003893440
2 street lights - outside 98 and outside 102 Cowper Road. These street lights are intermittent - works some nights, flash sometimes, other nights total darkness. Dark stretch is therefore several hundred yards. Neighbours are expressing their fear of walking on the street at night. Lights do work sometimes. Not sure if rain-related. 2 lights working together or not working together so connected in someway. Previously looked at (thank you) by Hcc highways and power company but ticket resolved in January. Unfortunately problem still persists. Please help us make our street safe

Bollard indicating presence of traffic island has been destroyed by car hitting it. At night it makes this location dangerous as the Island is difficult to see

Cars being left by car trader, 24th February
A car trader is leaving cars, up to 4 at a time on the left hand side as you drive into the close. The cars are advertised on Autotrader. Numerous cars disappear only for new ones to appear. Some of the cars have auction numbers written on them. Mix of no car tax/MOT. None of the cars have insurance or have trade plates. It’s a complete nuisance and is an obstruction.

It is dangerous to drive there with cars being parked on both sides on double yellow lines and pedestrains have to walk on the road as the cars are blocking pavements.

The sign marking the speed limited change 40/ Derestricted has been damaged for nearly a year now. It has turned on the post so its not legible in either direction. Last reported August 2023, still not fixed.
