Two large potholes on brow of hill, 21st December
Two deep potholes impossible to miss on the brow of the hill were difficult for two. Cars to pass. Sufficiently deep with squared shoulders for a car to bottom out.

Large pothole/drain cover, 31st October
There is a large pothole (approx 6 - 8 weeks since noticing) next to a drain (which is raised now because of the pothole) on the left side of the road just past the corner as you start the steep incline up towards Godshill. Quite dangerous as trying to avoid it puts you into the other side of the road.

Footpath disappearing, 24th October
The footpath going up the hill on the Southampton Road is disappearing under a sea of soil. Pedestrians have to walk too close to the road and traffic.

Cattle grid HCC 047 access gate, 6th October
The access gate for pedestrians and horse riders has a broken latch. I've tied it shut with bailing twine to prevent new forest cattle or ponies from getting out onto the main roads. It's a large square loop latch for hooking with a riding crop.

Gate latch mechanism is very horse unfriendly., 14th April
The gate latch at the cattle grid is particularly horse unfriendly. The gate faces the wrong way so the horse cannot see the traffic, The latch is linear rather than horse safe and may jab into the horse's sides and further scare them and possibly trap them. The handle is not long enough to reach easily from a big horse.

Fly tipping at Gorley Lynch, 8th August
Commercial and residential rubbish dumped on the verge at Gorley Lynch on Friday 7 August. We have collected it (1030 Saturday 8) and taken it home to Ogdens but as it contains asbestos we need the council to come to dispose of it.
