Overhanging branches from gardens preventing pavement access, 20th June
Unfortunately this is a persistent issue.
Once again, home owners/occupiers in West Side are allowing their trees to grow out of control from their gardens over the pavement making it impossible to walk on the pavement at all or without getting hit in the face and body by branches. Residents can’t walk down the road and back again without risking injury or walking in the road. Delivery people on foot are complaining There’s already been a near miss with a delivery van. Additionally at ground level, low growing plants are growing over parts of the pavement causing a trip hazard.
This is a regular issue throughout the year already on the radar of the Parish Council yet it’s allowed to continue.

Rubbish from new windows installation left in cul de sac, 13th April
Home owner had new windows installed by a company called “First” something a couple of weeks ago. New windows were opened in the public road at top of cul de sac. Plastic and other wrappings left in road, blown into neighbouring gardens, fields etc. residue of waste still in gutters under cars and flying about. Residents having the work done have done nothing to address the mess. The name of the company who did the work is still displayed on a sign in the driveway of the house where the work was done

Overgrown trees and bushes causing obstruction on public pavement, 12th July
Trees and bushes overhanging from residential gardens making it difficult for pedestrians to walk on the pavement without getting scratched by a multitude of overhanging branches at a low level. It’s pretty much an issue the length of the pavement outside no 1 and no 4. Residents responsible seem unconcerned and unwilling to trim. Can anyone with some authority give them a nudge?

I’ve seen a young man who lives in this house let the dogs he walk fowl local public footpaths without clearing it up on numerous occasions., 9th February
I’ve seen a young man who lives in this house let the dogs he walk fowl local public footpaths without clearing it up on numerous occasions.
One time, one of his dogs deficated right in front of me - nearly on my foot - as we crossed paths on a local foot path and he said and did nothing - and he just left the mess and walked away.
I see the same young lad walking his dogs off the lead in the local RSPB nature reserve where dogs are not allowed because they are a danger to rare wildlife and ground nesting birds and also off the lead around local livestock. It’s been too many times to ignore now.

Parking of 2 vehicles on road hampers turning ability and access, 20th October
Residents constantly parking their 2 vehicles on the road in this area rather than in their driveway and garage is causing the turning area of the cul-de-sac to be diminished. This causes problems on a regular basis with delivery vehicles who are more often than not not able to safely turn and heavy vehicles have damaged the driveways of other residents when turning because there isn’t enough room to turn easily without coming up onto the pavement and into other residents’ driveways. in the event of an emergency such as a fire, emergency service vehicles would not be able to manoeuvre or access the houses in this area quickly when this public road area is used as parking spaces. Easy access to the salt gritting box for this road is affected by cars being parked directly on the road in front of it.

Blocked turning circle of West Side culdersac with the vehicles belonging to residents of West Side SP4 0BJ, 13th October
Despite having a garage and driveway with space enough to keep 2 vehicles off road my neighbours keep using the turning circle of West Side culdersac as their driveway blocking the turning circle with their 2 cars day and night making it difficult for delivery vehicles to deliver to mine and other houses, preventing the quick and easy turning for emergency vehicles and also preventing access to hedges and other areas for maintenance. We’ve asked them not to do this on numerous occasions but nothing changes

Significant, unavoidable pothole on A338., 5th January
There is a sizable pothole at the following location, that cannot be avoided unless you cross a solid white line and into the path of oncoming traffic:
A338 heading towards Cholderton from Allington (specifically between Allington Track and Amesbury Road).
A338, Salisbury SP4, UK Latitude: 51.164444 | Longitude: -1.706944 https://goo.gl/maps/nM7fKSnVBpp (Google Maps)
This pothole was sufficiently large as to trigger my car's stability control when I ran into it yesterday, so I would suggest that it needs repairing urgently before a biker comes across it or vehicle damage occurs.
Also reported to Wiltshire Council via email, as apparently they do not accept such reports from FixMyStreet. Boo !
