Barrier remains after car impact, 22nd April

Mon, 22 Apr 2024 16:39:12 +0100
50.694335 -1.087651

From Ducie Avenue to Embankment Rd, the barrier on Public Bridleway BB34 has been forcibly 'removed' leaving sharp protruding metal from the impact, not easily visible when walking up from the harbour into the sun. It is now a through rat run to the harbour for vehicles but a health and safety issue to all users. The debris from the vehicle has been thrown into the side of the Bridleway leaving a mass of tangled metal by the house. It was a few days ago but walked into the sun yesterday and made several walkers aware of the trip hazard.

Steyne Road, Bembridge, 21st April

Sun, 21 Apr 2024 14:31:52 +0100
50.683553 -1.088363

Hi, I was cycling along through the roadworks - i am not sure who is conducting the roadworks but the finish of the tarmac for all of the work which looks like a large trench with branches spurring off to the properties is below the surface of the existing road - meaning it is like cycling or driving over numerous ruts? My husband said it may not be the finished layer but the tarmac is definitely level with the metal access covers that have been installed which would suggest it is the finished level! It seems that they are economising with the amount of tarmac being used to fill all these channels!! Please can someone inspect the area before any more are completed in this, what appears and feels to be, sub standard fashion. ?
