White lines have faded completely, 5th March
The white lines on the Fishbourne roundabout on the A27 have completely faded in places which makes this roundabout very dangerous to go around. Some old lady nearly drove into me the other day as she couldn’t work out where to be on the roundabout and I must admit I struggle with it myself too.

Dangerous pothole, 5th March
There is a large pothole about 25 yards as you enter Deeside Avenue - it’s near the willow tree. It has been there for some time now and is getting deeper by the day. It is impossible to miss most of the time due to vehicles parked and now today it is again full of water and anyone not familiar with the hazard could do serious damage to their vehicles. This has been reported several times but still nothing has been done. and meanwhile it is getting bigger. Please can you sort this out asap.

White Lines Non-Existent, 6th February
Further backing up the large number of reports, these road markings (which have been non-existent for months now) cause me near misses almost every morning. Regularly you'll get trucks and large utility vehicles crossing over the lines because they aren't visible anymore, this is forcing other drivers to straddle lanes so that incidents are avoided.
We understand that you prioritize works based on the number of accidents but the amount of dangerous driving being forced due to the non-existent road markings is incredibly dangerous.

Fishbourne Roundabout. Road markings have completely disappeared…an accident waiting to happen., 22nd January
I am getting increasingly concerned about the lack of lane markings on this very busy roundabout and l can see that l am not the only one to flag up this very dangerous issue. It is only a matter of time before there is a serious oincident there. Those of us that use the roundabout regularly encounter a near miss on most occasions. I know that repainting the markings is on the 2024 -2025 budget. You you have told me this on the numerous responses. What do the regular inspections carried out tell you about the state of the markings as they are non existent? Please could you treat the matter with some urgency.

Repeated flooding due to filled in drainage chanel, 16th January
Where the shared pavement meets the footpath has repeatedly flooded since the drainage Chanel between the low point of the pavement and ditch (grip?) Was removed 3-5yrs ago. The two photos are taken 2 weeks apart to show when the water recedes the pavement is still impassable.

Debris from hedge cutting, 16th January
After 5 years of campaigning thank you Jonathan Fulford (not WSCC) for clearing the 3 inch thick mud bath at the junction of the shared footpath and cycle lane near Ham Farm Unfortunately the very next day Langmead Farms Ltd decided to cut the hedges and as is typical for Langmead Farms negligent and obstructive behaviour they have not made any attempt to sweep up the debris. As happens every year the debris will gather in the cycle lane puncturing countless tires and forcing cyclists onto the road where they are harassed by cars for not using the thorn strewn cycle lane until eventually it rains and all the debris washes down the drains, blocks them and floods the road again. This cycle of despair and obstruction for pedestrians and cyclists is as a direct result of the negligence of WSCC Highways and Langmead Farms Ltd and I write these reports so they may be used in the corporate negligence claim against these two when (not if) a cyclist is killed along this stretch of godforsaken highway.

Temporary signs, 10th January
Temporary signs have long been gone on the A27 on the approach to the bridge that goes under Clay lane. The signs are gone but the large metal frames that held them are still there awaiting collection. A third frame with no sign is on the same side of the road as you past the last lay-by before Emsworth. All 3 are on the western travelling carriageway

Road markings on the roundabout, 6th January
Completely faded all the way round, had a very angry lorry driver almost go into me today plus the cars either side of his also went to pull out (despite me indicating) because they assumed the lane I was in was due to exit before them. If the road markings were clear this wouldn’t happen. It’s a dangerous roundabout regardless with countless accidents and this should be escalated as urgent rather than your previous response of it being considered next tax year. I hope that any accidents caused due to the lack of road markings are made aware of your lack of engagement regarding this.
