Poor state of pavement along Portchester Road, 7th April
Poor state of pavement along Portchester Road The poor state of the pavements from Downend Road to the Cornaway Roundabout, especially on our side of the road (i.e. the even house numbers). I have been contacted by a resident who, with his wife, often walks from their house on Portchester Road to the BP Garage/MS Shop and beyond, and often lose our footing on the damaged and uneven surface. We also often see elderly people in disabled vehicles struggling to navigate the uneven surface.

Decaying tree is an eyesore - Cornaway Roundabout / BP Garage, 7th April
I have for a while been watching an area opposite the BP/M&S service station be continually ignored by the landscaping teams. Originally I believe there may have been a small tree/shrub here but it was vandalised and then debris from falling branches added etc and nobody cleared it up. The grass cutting teams just cut around it and presumably don’t pass the information upwards, ……. and it goes on and on, total eyesore.

Report on FixMyStreet
Approximately 300m west of Dstl on the south side of the road at the point where the road narrows and bends slightly, the edge of the road has eroded significantly creating a gully at least 8-12" deep and 2 feet wide which is forcing vehicles to move across into the other lane thereby significantly increasing the risk of hitting eastbound vehicles., 7th March
This bend is probably the most dangerous part of Portsdown Hill Road and forces vehicles to pass at unsafe minimum distances. The condition of the edge of the road has been deteriorating for some months to the point where a 3-4m long stretch is now untenable for all vehicles.
