Massively overgrown footpath alongside busy road, 11th January
This straight bit of road has the potential to have a very wide pavement, but it has become overgrown over recent years. With the increase in walking becoming more popular, especially close to the coast, walkers are frequently having to walk on the road in places, where the footpath is not wide enough. Part of the issue is that branches from adjacent trees now overhang the pavement, meaning that pedestrians have to either duck or walk around to avoid the low hanging branches. In addition, there is a big disparity between the amount of actual footpath and the amount that could be available, which if it were cleared would make the whole path a lot safer from frequently speeding cars.
