The contractor was supposed to clear the weeds from the kerb drainage adjacent to Tudor, The and Spring cottages on the A418 last week. This would be prior to the road surface laying due to begin on the 22nd April this year. As you can see from the photos, that despite the use of a large edge brushing vehicle the weeds still remain. Will they be removed before work commences on the new surface finish?

Sink hole, water running down road, 24th April
For months now water has been running out of the verge and down the A40.
On cower inspection there seems to be a sink hole where water has coming up from a blocked drain. I can’t be sure if it’s sewage or road drainage but clearly something is blocked and it’s been forced up and out on to the road.

Dangerous pavement, 21st April
This pavement near where the school bus stops continues to be in a dreadful condition and needs resurfacing . It is a hazard for anyone but especially those with limited mobility . How anyone can push a wheelchair or buggy along it without going on the road is n=beyond me

Pothole has not been resolved, 2nd April
This has been marked as completed but has not be resolved. I suggest you look again Pothole is massive and has given me two broken tyres which I will be sending you invoice. It needs to be fixed asap as you need to swerve on to ongoing traffic round a bend which is severely dangerous in itself. The road is fast therefore you cannot account to slow down until it’s too late. It is normally filled with water and doesn’t seem to be obviously dangerous until you go over it.
