Dangerous - Manhole cover being lifted by water flow, 30th April
This is a recurrence of a problem whereby the drain from No 18 London Lane, Ascott-u-W to the entrance to Foresters Court appears to be blocked. This is causing the water to overflow onto the road at the entrance to No 18 and lifting the manhole cover which is very dangerous. As vehicles run over the cover it shifts further leaving the manhole exposed and open. This needs urgent attention (or at least warning signage).

Village shop sign once again restricting visibility, 7th March
The sign for Ascott under Wychwood village shop has once again been placed in such a position as to restrict visibility while looking left when crossing over or turning right at the junction of Brasswell Gate and the B4437, not only that but any traffic coming from the Charlbury direction would miss the turn to London Lane down to Ascott by the time they had seen the sign. If they want to advertise the shop, placing it a 100 yards back towards Charlbury would give drivers time to slow down and make the turn safely. Given the speed at which people drive on that stretch of road it is a dangerous junction to negotiate anyway without having to edge out into the road to see properly

Two large potholes on apex of bend - as seen on YouTube, 3rd March
Watch the latest YouTube video from Harry’s Garage (https://youtu.be/Dr7wXNDYCpQ?si=W2DYLZgq0wF4MUf2) to see two large potholes that have appeared on this bend.
By the way, your criteria for pothole dimensions before repairs will be entertained discriminate against the most vulnerable road users - cyclists and motorcyclists - for whom *any* size of pothole is a danger. How can Oxfordshire County Council credibly spout any road safety messages when it ignores the risks to the above road user groups caused by its policies?
