ISSUE: Target Hardening Blackbird Leys Road Shops
ACTION: Concerns were raised around anti-social behaviour and potential drug activity taking place behind the shops. The Blackbird Leys Neighbourhood Police Team conducted enquiries with the local businesses and residents in the nearby area and the information received corroborated the initial reports. High visibility patrols and stop searches have been conducted by the Neighbourhood Team in this area and through partnership working with the local council we managed to secure a CCTV camera to monitor the area. Whilst conducting this partnership working we have implemented further target hardening measures to deter criminality in this location.

ACTION: Following the initial reports of stolen bicycles and actions carried by the Neighbourhood Team further work has been actioned to raise awareness with staff and residents around the to offer suitable advice on various topics including the suitable storage and purchasing of these bikes. This has provided us an opportunity to build useful links within the community and share vital information to support staff and security
