FIXMYSTREET IN OX29 9NP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of OX29 9NP:
Grass cutting for Leafield Greens, 25th April
On the 17th April I inquired as to why the Leafield Greens hadn't been cut this year and received a reply stating that "VERGES" are to be cut once a year.
The areas I am referring to ARE NOT VERGES.
They are large areas of grass as you can see from the location indicator on the map which are used by families through the summer and the Leafield Primary School for out door teaching areas and sports.
This policy will prevent the village from using our Greens, please review this decision.
Thank you.

Grass mowing, 17th April
So far this year two small areas of the Leafield greens have been cut last week. Why have the majority of the greens still to be cut? The grass is about 8 inches long!!!!

Bends along this road completely unmarked, 17th April
Pavements or grass verges to escape on-coming speeding traffic through these bends. We have seen a huge increase in traffic using this single track lane as a rat-run to Witney plus large HGV’s using it to avoid Charlbury weight limit and to access the Leafield Technical centre demolition site. This really needs looking into urgently before there is a serious accident or death. There needs to be speed restriction applied as we are seeing vehicles driving on it like a motorway, as there are no warning signs or speed reminders or road markings between Leafield and Judd’s Grave cross road. Reminder : this is a white road on the map (not a Yellow B road) - this small rural lane which has become widened by the ever increasing volume of traffic eating away the edges of the road. There should be a white line on the edge of both sides of the road (similar to what is on the straight road into Stonesfield) to slow down drivers and make them aware of the road width.

Speed humps are needing review, 26th March
The speed humps are too violent for the road conditions and speed limit. Please review them as they are so poorly maintained that drivers are having to go into the middle of the road to navigate over them and the edges are so harsh that cars lower to the ground than an MPV are scuffing. This causes a noise issue as well as damage to the vehicles, personally have to go 10mph over these as it stresses my wheelchair hoist and has smashed my arm hoist sleeve twice. I think it really needs reviewing to make it suitable for the road and the neighbours.
