Traffic light timings, 23rd April

Tue, 23 Apr 2024 08:34:45 +0100
51.727993 -1.248643

It seems clear that the body responsible for setting/controlling the traffic lights along the Southern by-pass road have incorrectly adjusted them, as the traffic along this road has significantly worsened over the last week. In particular the lights at the A423/A4144 (Southern By-Pass / Abingdon Rd) Junction. Traffic has been queuing to abnormally high levels (even for Oxford) over thr last week and it is clear that the priorities of the lights are incorrect and need to be urgently readjusted. This morning for example, there was NO traffic joining the Southern By-Pass from the Abingdon Rd and yet the incorrect priority signalling is causing backups all the way along the southern by-pass between Hinksley Hill and the junction with the A4142. Why has someone adjusted the priorities when there was no need to change them? It has made the already bad traffic situation diabolical.
