This large advertising hoarding was originally put up by Bovis to advertise the houses they built in the field behind it. These have been completed for at least three years yet the hoarding is still there and now it is promoting a development in Wantage, more than 3 miles away. Why should Bovis be allowed to continue to use it and have they permission to do so? It is right at the entrance to the village off the A338 and is an eyesore.

Sub standard resurfacing, 1st May
The Steventon road was resurfaced with chippings recently. In many locations within the recent resurfacing there are places that are devoid of chippings. A highways inspector should drive along the Steventon road from East Hanney towards Steventon and they will see all the places in question.

Very large and deep pothole on the bridge. If a cyclist were to veer into the pothole they would be at risk of falling into oncoming traffic and a significant incident could occur. A car’s tyre/wheel could also be significantly damaged., 28th April

Pot hole on bridge, 23rd April
I believe work is scheduled for 24 May on This pot hole. It’s getting bigger each day, exposed metal work has appeared and I really think it needs attention before planned repair date. Not very good at all.

Kerb stone from layby protruding into highway, 11th April
There's a significant amount of large vehicle traffic east to west and vice versa on the Lyford road, there is a narrowing of the highway and a kerb stone without any road markings for the layby opposite the Lyford business park entrance. I had to squeeze through due to oncoming traffic and ripped my tyre.

Water flowing down the road from flooded fields is causing extensive damage (potholes) to the road in Lyford, particularly on the bend outside the Old Vicarage. This has been getting worse over the winter, and the potholes are now quite wide and deep

Manhole cover fallen in on it self, 2nd April
The manhole cover has collapsed after being opened by Thames water with large bars and also a sledge hammer. Reported to Thames water for being loose and then just had tarmac laid over the top of it. Now it has collapsed.

Protective Kerb stone damage, 11th March
Protective Kerb stone on A338 directly opposing junction with Steventon road took a substantial hit from a lorry and is now displaced. This high level kerb is protecting our house from such strikes and I'd appreciate it being repaired asap please

Numerous potholes, 10th March
Numerous potholes along this road, edging is in a bad state and one particular crater in the edge is terrible. Road was closed for a day for works about a month ago but not sure what was fixed as there are so many potholes still unrepaired. Wondering if further works which are badly needed are scheduled to be carried out.

Broken manhole cover in the middle of busy through road, 24th February
This was reported previously (ENQ 249917030) and was supposedly 'fixed'. However, all that was done was to bung a bit of tarmac in it and this has already all come out. The cover needs to be replaced.
