FIXMYSTREET IN OX11 9ES
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of OX11 9ES:
Several large deep potholes along Church Lane, 23rd April
There are several very large deep potholes along the whole length of Church Lane between the High Street and the Church which are getting progressively worse. Despite this being a quiet dead-end lane with just a few houses, visitors to the Church and churchyard use it regularly and it is a popular start for vehicles to park for dog/walking etc. It is a tarmac/chippings road surface which has been mended in the past but not fir some time, I believe it is still a public road but has not been resurfaced in many years. In places, it has become almost impossible to pass the potholes safely in a vehicle and even pedestrians and those with pushchairs etc are finding the lane very hazardous to walk along. Please can you investigate and hopefully, set up some repairs?

Very large, deep pothole not visible by approaching traffic, 18th April
This very large ( at least 50/60 cm diameter) rough edged deep pothole, which has existed for at least a month and is growing daily, is located about 2 metres, near side, beyond the junction of High St and Hithercroft Road. These are joined at quite an acute angle so that the pothole is not visible until vehicles or bicycles have just turned left towards Cholsey. This means that as it is on the carriageway by about a metre from its edge, as opposed to being on the far edge of the tarmac, drivers need to either brake or swerve sharply to avoid it. I think a bicycle wheel hitting this would definitely cause the rider to be ejected over the handlebars or sideways. If it cant be filled/resurfaced immediately, perhaps a warning of some sort would prevent accidents - maybe a blue sign with an arrow, cones, a barrier or suchlike?

Multiple potholes and road surface damage on Chalk Hill, 20th March
I have taken photographs of OVER 10 pot holes on Chalk Hill between the Lollingdon bridleway entrance and the entrance to the Recreation Ground. The road surface is seriously damaged and some holes are now 6 inches deep and in some cases even deeper.
This is causing a danger to drivers and pedestrians. I reported that road surface was degraded in 2023 but it is now considerably worse. Please advise when work can commence
