Please consider a tree preservation order for this woodland., 4th August
This woodland is for sale by Lancashire county council. It has significant amenity value to the local village and further afield. It provides an opportunity for local people to see wildlife (badgers, foxes and deer and owls for example). It is next to a very popular local footpath.

Restricted pavement used by primary school children, 17th July
The footpath is very overgrown especially with nettles. This piece of pavement is directly between my house and Sharneyford primary and my 10 year old walks daily. The nettles force him to walk along the very edge, on the kerb, and traffic can be heavy and travelling faster than the 30 mph speed limit. It is very dangerous. I have reported it before and the area was strimmed but obviously has grown back. The wall is in need of repair as the boundary to the pavement which would provide a more permanent solution. Kind regards. Linda Copley

Empty grit box, 27th January
Many residents have consistently phoned to ask for grit for over a week. As we do not get gritted we have to help ourselves-the least the council can do is keep our box continually full. We do not want the box filling when the council think it needs filling on a rota basis-it want filling when the residents know it wants filling. We have heavy snow forcast-so far we have had three vehicles sliding down towards the main A671-one hit a parked vehicle
