A52 eastbound a little after the quarry entrance, 3rd April
Very deep pothole, in fact closer to bring a sinkhole. Cannot see the bottom of it as you drive around it. Oncoming traffic can prevent avoiding it, it is directly on the wheel line of your near side wheel or in travelling line for a cycle or motorcycle fir whom it would be a guaranteed serious accident.

Roadside drain blockage at curb opposite Church wall., 9th February
Good afternoon. As reported on numerous occasions, this section of the Braceby main street floods on any instance of continual rainfall. The same has happened today (09 February 2024). Our previous Report dated January 2024 is pasted below for your information, namely: "Blockage drain at curb opposite church wall Hello. We have a blocked drain in the village. During larger rain falls, the road floods, finally clearing sometimes 5/6 days later. In the week 01 Jan 24 I learnt that active steps had to be taken during the evening of heavy rainfall to steer the flow of water away from a lower lying property within the village. Back in 2021 Cllr Martin Hill visited this issue in our village. Steps were arranged for a drainage team to visit and troubleshoot. After jetting and the temporary repair of an old collapsed drain, flooding within the centre of the village was greatly improved. During the investigation, information about a possible uphill section of pipe looks to be the cause of this repeating problem. It was detailed that future work would be required to resolve this. Initially after the jetting work, large volumes of rainfall would clear in half a day. Now with the passing of around 3 years, the build up of silt etc within the pipe is causing the flooding problems again. Please help. Kind regards, The village. The report's reference number is 489267. Please quote this if you need to contact the council about this report".
