Church Lane, Creeton, outside Brownlow Cottages, 14th March
You are meant to have fixed this mess. Workmen came last week and cleared away the large barrier of gravel that had been deposited by successive floods, which has improved the situation and made it possible to drive down the lane again, but they have not made up the road surface adequately. The deepest holes have been partly filled with loose hardcore, which will wash out as soon as there is another flood; it is already being disturbed by traffic. Why can't you do a job properly? Surely it is a false economy? A month or so ago a team worked on Glen Road at the junction. They filled perhaps a third of the deepest holes in a short section but left plenty of others, just as deep or deeper, including some long linear ones that pose a serious risk to cyclists, here and within 100 yards of the site.
On that occasion they ignored the state of the lane, although it had been reported long before, and could easily have been dealt with by the same team at the same time. There is no joined-up thinking going on.

Church Lane, Creeton, beside numbers 1 & 2 Brownlow Farm Cottages, 27th November
There is a long stretch of uneven road surface in Church Lane from close to its junction with the B1176 (Glen Rd/Swinstead Rd), which has been like this for years. More potholes appear from time to time but the real problem is a shifting bank of gravel that was washed down off the B1176 by a flood soon after that road was resurfaced. It has been patched up by the Council at least twice but that hasn't fixed it, because when the gravel bank is wet and vehicles drive over it the gravel is redistributed, leaving the small tarmac patches standing proud. They soon wear down. It has now created a very uneven "sleeping policeman" (around 30cm high at the edges) that is surrounded by water except in very dry weather. Cars now drive across the adjoining green, which is being churned up.

The drain and Road has dropped, 5th May
From 5am every morning we are woken by lorries banging over the sunken area, where the drain and road has dropped sunk and the road is damaged. The noise created from this area of damaged road right outside our drive way is disturbing us and very upsetting. The whole road needs attention and looks like a patchwork. Please raise the drain and road area so there is not a drop and bang as traffic drives over it. Thank you

Entrance to Church lane from the main road., 18th January
Extreme degradation of the road surface into lumps and potholes. Very bad at the entrance to Church Lane and more potholes as you proceed up the lane. Now damaging tyres and suspension. It has been bad for about a year but recently the pot holes have deepened and the surface very uneven. Almost undrivable in a normal saloon car without causing tyre splits.
