FIXMYSTREET IN NG24 4NS
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NG24 4NS:
Parked to close to a juntion, 14th March
At the T junction where Rowan Way meets Grove Street there are constantly the same cars parked up to the junction on both sides or opposite. This is a busy junction and with these vehicles parking to close to the junction they are blocking the view of oncoming traffic. Very close to this T junction is another T Junction where Linden Avenue meets Grove Street which is also obstructed by this obstructive parking. Referring to the highway code it states parking at least 10 meters from these kind of junctions, which clearly isn't happening here, this is parking issue dangerous and needs to be resolved before there is an accident. I would highly recommend double yellow lines for this area of double T junctions to enforce safety. This bad parking has been going on for nearly 3 months.

Continual dog fouling, 19th February
We in Farndon are fedup with people letting their dogs mess everywhere, it is disgusting, and I am sick of having to shift the mess outside my house, it is not my job, and lots of us have complained on the Farndon residents facebook page but it makes no difference. This has been going on for months now.

50cm round and 15cm deep, 50cm away from the curb, 7th January
Been here for several weeks and likely to kill a cyclist at some point. Nottinghamshire County Council don’t accept third party reports, so it will probably remain here until someone gets hurt. You have to wonder why we pay council tax.

Over grown tree, 5th July
When pulling out of Parkway, the view is obstructed by a tree that has become overgrown at the bottom, this happens every year. The solution is to cut it back to the trunk. It’s quite dangerous as you have to pull out on to Hawton Road to watch for oncoming traffic.

Constant parking on bottom/brow of bridge on double yellow lines, 21st November
Bone idle parents constantly parking on double yellow lines on the bridge at barnby road outside the school which is causing a danger to pedestrians, aswell as their own children who are getting out of the car onto the bridge itself giving no oncoming cars time to stop. other road users also can’t get past if there is oncoming traffic . Sick of paying some of the highest council tax in the country for this to keep happening. I have three kids two of whom are under two and I have to go stupidly early (which is not easy with three kids when one has to be on time for half 8) find somewhere to park legally and then get the pram out and walk, which sometimes results in my son being only just on time for school. These people park at the bottom of the bridge even when it’s early and there are plenty of other spaces to park. We are sick to death of it. Get the camera car out all the time without pre warning. It’s a bloody joke.
