Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 22nd April
Travelling along the road from Staunton towards the junction to turn left to Long Bennington. Approximately 50m from the junction (map co-ordinates 52.986, 0771 from photo). The road is narrow but will allow two cars to pass. We passed a car so were on the left hand side of the road rather than travelling in the centre. We hit a deep pothole and our tyre blew out immediately.
The road is full of potholes. We've had a puncture along this road before caused by a pothole but haven't previously claimed. We know to drive slow and carefully but this pothole was large and deep.

Main Road - Entire length of pavement betwwen Church Street and Dysart Grange, 16th April
Entire length of pavement is uneven and potholed. Huge puddles form after heavy rain.....sometimes impassable. Reported in November 2022 but no response. Situation is deteriorating

Various potholes along Valley Lane between Costa Row and A1 slip road, 16th April
Please drive towards the completed work on the A1 slip road from the completed work on the corner of Costa Row and you will see various potholes varying in depth and size which makes you drive in the middle of the road. Not ideal with oncoming traffic. If you drive along this stretch of road the potholes are clearly visable.

Directly outside The Reindeer Public House, 25th March
There are incidents of inconsiderate parking where the footpath is blocked by parked vehicles across the footpath. This causes obstructions for pedestrians. The footpath isn't properly defined in front of the pub and Long Bennington Parish Council would request that some white lines are painted to define the path and this will hopefully result in deterring inconsiderate parking and its subsequent risks for pedestrians.

At the end of the pavement leading from bungalows, 25th March
There is a dropped kerb, allowing wheelchair and mobility scooter access for residents. Unfortunately, this is frequently blocked by inconsiderate parking. As such Long Bennington Parish Council would like to request that a white line is painted on the road to help prevent parking across the dropped kerb.
