FIXMYSTREET IN NG16 2RP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NG16 2RP:
Potholes adjacent newthorpe common on Nottingham road, Eastwood., 2nd May
It’s been long enough now. We are waiting for a major accident or more damage to cars with claims to the council? How are bikes/cyclists to deal with this in the dark especially. Most urgent cases like these should be dealt with on main access points. Typical of a recent case as up to 10 police cars and 2 ambulances were parked here on an emergency. Let’s get priority sorted.

Significant litter on the first 300 yards of Dovecote Road, 12th September
Hello, I really hope you can help me There is significant and increasing litter on the first 300 yards of Dovecote Road, that seems to be plastic and food wrapper waste. My partner and i have been doing (unofficial) weekly litter picking to try and improve our community but what i think would really help is if we had a litter bin on the pavement around this area so people can responsibility dispose of their waste. ANy help and assistance would be massively appreciated and i really do think this would be a benefit to the council, the environment and the local neighbours . Thank you

Tree now totally obscuring streetlight and branches bending down over pavement at head height, 23rd July
I reported this ages ago when the only issue was it was starting to obscure the street light. Nothing has been done and now the street light is totally obscured. The road at that point is now very dark at night and the branches are now starting to hang down over the pavement at head height. Something seriously needs doing as this is just going to get worse and it will be repeated every year as last year the owner just gave it a trim around the light!

Tree Preservation Order application"., 18th June
Protection of an Ash Tree.. there are 3 x other protected trees in the location, this one is extremely healthy.. a TPO is being requested as since the building of multiple new houses there seems a trend to cut as many trees as possible and create concrete back gardens. To protect the environment and the future I believe a TPO needs to be applied to this tree.
