Very poor dangerous road surface, 21st February
The whole of the A6097 Epperstone Bye pass, between Shelt hill round about, to Lowdham roundabout, is in a poor state. It needs some resurface work not pothole work. Can you please employ a contractor who does a proper job, as recent resurface work around this area, is like riding on waves!!

Flooding of Highway, 16th December
Highway Flooding Lowdham, A6097. Affecting lane 1 only of the NORTHBOUND dual carriageway (directly opposite the Gunthorpe Road junction.)
After any reasonable quantity of rainfall the road floods across the whole of LANE 1. The problem has been ongoing for some considerable time. The water is DEEP and dangerous to cars and motorbikes.
It can be cleared by entering lane 2 - but is a persistent problem that appears to be caused by a blocked drain.
(The water collects at the bottom of the nearby railway bridge. Presumably, stones and silts are continuously washed down the road and they have blocked the only key drain servicing this part of the road???)
Standing water will be extremely dangerous when it turns to ice in the forthcoming Winter months.

Potholes - Two Large New Potholes (dangerous in wet), 16th December
This piece of road (driving due south) has two large and deep potholes that have recently developed.
When driving in heavy rain they were impossible to see and caused severe jolting of my car.
For a motorbiker / moped user they could easily fetch the rider off. Can this piece of road be re-examined for potholes?

Total condition of the road, vibrations as HGV's hit multipal repairs, 5th August
There has been a number of quick repairs in this location to make sure the road is deemed safe but this has resulted an uneven surface area which for cars is fine but HGV's bounce across the surface which results in ground tremors. internal remedial work has to take place every month to deal with house movement. The road suface is pitted and breaking up and has a split running down it but as it does not meet criteria for repair it is watched only. this is an easy proactive fix - last year they resurfaced parts of the road on one side only - why not both side of the A6097? especially as the high costs is mobilisation of equipment. this has been an issue for 2 years and was reported direct and an email is held from an engineer confirming that the road surface make up is not fit for purpose but at this time its meets repair guidelines.
