Multiple, deep potholes on Lombard Street, 21st April
There have been potholes on this road for several years; they are at the end of Lombard Street, which has not been resurfaced due to work being carried out further up on the road in relation to a housing development. That work has now been completed, so we would like the council to fulfil their commitment given to residents that this end of the road would be resurfaced as soon as possible. Currently it is creating a mess and has led to at least one vehicle tyre being damaged.

Ss Verge flattened and destroyed, 14th October
Park View Building Services providing a new Garage at Long Meadow, have flattened the grass verge and taken away all the grass, by dumping building rubble as they prepared a new Garage site.
THis rubble was then scraped into skips, further deliveries of bricks etc further compressed this area on both sides of the gateway. Google Maps shows what it was like before . The problem here apart from any amenity value is that this is an area of the road which floods on the opposite side of the road whenever there is heavy downpour. Waht will happen now is that water will run off this flattened slope towards the opposite side instead of soaking into the verge. This is a blind and narrow bend in the road and is likely to give rise to Road Accidents as well as making it impossible for pedestrians to move along the pavement since they will be splashed by cars due to flooding

Pavement crossed by Vehicles, 14th October
Rushcliffe Refuse Department Vehicles use this section of the pavement to provide a reversing route up the un-named private roadway adjacent to Hall Farmm cottage. This is again causing the roadway and pavement to drop ( last replaced 2007) and last Xmas caused an Electricity Blackout as the n old pipework got crushed. The angle of turn takes the vehicle across the other side of the road immediately adjacent to the Bus Shelter where school children are waiting for buses at 8am and 8.30 am, the very times that Refuse collection is scheduled. Warnings to the Refuse Collectors have been laughed off. a really wide reversing route exists using the extended Hall Farm Driveway opposite. A Safetyu Bollard is required to stop this hazard

Erosion of grass verge at corner , 14th October
The local buses with fixed wheel bases have cut through the 2 metre wide grass verge at this corner leading to Hawksworth providing pedestrians with no safe route . The vehicles are now almost touching the boundary hedge and are very close to BT or Severn Trent metal covers. This road junction needs to have kerbstones fitted to the correct vehicle line before there is either a traffic incident or fatality

Erosion of road surface, 14th October
The local bus drivers have taken to driving on the grass verge rather than slow to allow farm traffic to pass. This has chewed up the side of the road creating at least three main potholes on the stretch marked leading to Hawksworth
