Footpath unusable, 18th May
The unmade footpath from the church to the first house along that road is severely overgrown with weeds (large Elder plants I think) making it almost impossible to walk along. Pedestrians might feel forced into walking along the busy road instead, which is very hazardous along that stretch!

New gate on the public road (Northrepps), 25th March
Rectory Road Northrepps (U14276): A new wooden gate, and gate posts, have been installed on the public highway. The first photograph was taken on 24th March 2023. The other photographs were taken in August 2009 and August 2018, respectively, showing the absence of the gate and posts. It is not acceptable, even if the gate is left "open" (as shown in the photograph), because the gate posts lie within the legal extent of the highway, and these, toegther with the gate itself, form an obstruction.

Street lights are on all night wasting electricity., 10th November
It is unnecessary to light the cul de sac of Emery's Close between midnight and early hours of the morning. The lights damage the environment, waste energy and cause disturbance to wildlfe and sleep of residents. In my opinion.

Carriageway cropped - YET AGAIN (Trimingham TB 1), 19th August
Carriageway under cultivation - again - see photos. Norfolk County Council, you are well aware of the redcurrant problem here. You are failing to pose any disincentive to the occupier of the land not to repeatedly disturb and cultivate the carriageway surface here. Section 131A(2) of the Highways Act 1980 imposes a duty upon you to bring proceedings under this section where desirable in the public interest. How could it possibly be considered not desirable in the public interest for you to do so?

No signage for the byway (Trimingham RB 1), 19th August
The byway leaves a farm track, at this point, to head south-eastwards across a cultivated arable field, but there is absolutely nothing on the ground to indicate the whereabouts, nor indeed the very existence, of the byway. There is a clear need for signage, here to assist persons unfamiliar with the locality to follow the course of the byway, as per the statutory duty contained in s.27(4) of the Countryside Act 1968
