Plastic containers in ditch, 2nd January
An assortment of plastic “crap” in the ditch plus a cat basket which has been there for at least 4 years (I have reported this before). The second picture is to show approx location by the trees. It’s approx half way between entrance to Field Lane and the bend in the road, on the same side as Field Lane.

Blue tarpaulin, 2nd January
Blue tarpaulin or possibly a cover of some sort, on the side of the road, same side as Westfield Church, a little further along towards Yaxham.
It’s currently weighted down with rainwater but could be a hazard to vehicles on the road. I believe it’s only been there a day or two.

Flytipping in passing places on Westfield Road, 2nd January
A paint pot balanced on a car battery in one of the first passing places on the left as you come down Westfield Road from the school end. These may have been moved now as made the passing place unusable.
2nd fly tip further down the road at the large passing place on the left just before the bridge in Westfield - paint pot in the hedgerow. This has been here since before Christmas.

Accident Blackspot, 20th December
This chicane is drivable at most at 20mph (in ideal driving conditions). There has been too many accidents on this 40 zone through the village. The speed should be reviewed at being reduced to 30mph from before the rail bridge (which also should be reduced to 20mph for traffic due to sharpness of cornering and impacts to bridge structure and crossover into oncoming lane) through to church st. with speed limited to the chicane to 20mph (instead of 40mph where signed nearby) due to the sharpness of the bends. In most cases in rain or when the conditions are slippery, due to excess rubber burn and oily residue, its safe at speeds of upto 15mph. Many drivers are not aware that the chicane is so tight or have forgotten and will often skid out of lane due to not going slow enough into oncoming traffic. any plastic speed reduction markers have been destroyed/run over by traffic losing control. (A similar dangerously sharp chicane near sumerlayton near lowestoft was reduced to 20mph , this one is long overdue.)
