Near to Metal Drainage Works, 10th April
From Northampton to Bedford new pothole just before metal drain in verge pothole deep and jaggered looking dangerous to motorbike & cyclists can not wait until resurfacing works needs investigating : this is a new defect and seems to have been patched previously

Drainage, appears to be spring, 9th April
Excess water is draining onto the footpath outside 10 Main Street and sitting there forming a large pond at times. Concern that it is a potential flood risk into nearby homes, footpath can become unusable and will be extremely slippy when it ices over in the winter.

Not sure how long the pothole has been there but it is very large. It caused damage to my car and is a hazard to others.

Blocked road drain overfilling, 26th March
I reported this in Dec / Jan against ref 5168597 the report took a while to close as repaired, however the problem still remains. When it rains the water level is above the drain cover and the water is not draining away.

New signs with a 50mph speed limit have been added along A428 to Bedford in multiple places. Unfortunately thete are 2 of the old signs still insitu. Is the speed limit 50 or 60?

Large pothole as you go down hill, 22nd March
This pothole is rather large and it’s as you have gone down hill from Brafield and it’s directly before the turn to Little Houghton before you get to the rest of the many potholes that are at Station Road by Cogenhoe turn! This one really banged my car tyre and suprised it’s still in one piece

Parked car completely blocking pavment, 21st March
Van parked completely on the pavement, only way to walk past was to walk on the A428 at rush hour. Wheel chair or push chair would not be able to pass at all

Messy fly tip in layby on Bedford Rd just outside Brafield, 14th March
Messy fly tip in layby on Bedford Rd just outside Brafield, i.e. on the left, just before village sign as you arrive from Northampton. Bags deposited, some of which have burst with rubbish all over the layby. First spotted Mon 11th and photo taken yesterday Wed 13th March.

Faded school markings, yellow and white lines in Church Lane, Brafield, 12th March
The school markings and white and/or yellow lines are old but are needed as there is a nursery school at the top of the road which attracts a lot of parental traffic plus there are church users who park in the church car park just outside the school. The route, although a vehicular dead end, is part of the busiest footpath circuit in the village, used by many walkers, dogwalkers and mobility scooter users. The lettering and lines although faded used to be visible but have now also been partly obliterated by recent Gigaclear trench work. It isn't clear anymore where there are yellow lines for parking, nor is the footway white line at all useful (a few paces further down the road it disappears totally where earlier roadworks were done). This is a problem for the school particularly as they regularly take groups of very young children out on group walks, as well as being dangerous at school drop-off and picking up times. Additionally the verge has given way in places leaving the original footway (which was on the same level as the road and marked by a white line only, that has now disappeared) partly covered with soil and vegetation, and there are intermittent potholes - all of which lead to pedestrians walking out in the road.
