Pathway between Barton Road and Luton Road on the A6 Northbound, 17th April

Wed, 17 Apr 2024 09:03:36 +0100
51.946753 -0.438366

I am aware recently that there was a member of public knocked off their bicycle near the slip road (police ref. BP-06042024-0101) and was seriously injured. I use the same route and the road is dangerous for cyclists. There is a pathway that runs all along the nearside but it is heavily overgrown on the path and the over hanging trees and this prevents people from using the path to walk or cycle. This is a request to get the pathways / shrubbery along the A6 Barton Cutting to be cut back in order to reveal more of the path and to also cut back the bushes enabling / encouraging people to use the paths instead of the road and hopefully prevent another accident.

Pegasus Crossing Required, 23rd March

Sat, 23 Mar 2024 17:33:22 +0000
51.939066 -0.435912

Is it possible to get a Pegasus crossing on the A6 from Sharpenhoe Road into the track where the Swedish Cottages are. There are a lot of horse riders in Streatley wishing to ride into Warden Hills and vice versa and at the moment its an extremely busy road and no one stops to let us cross. This section of road is also used a lot by cyclists and walkers as its part of one of the National Trails and they would also benefit from a crossing.

Barton hill road, just past Barton hill farm on the left heading towards Lilley, 8th March

We have had 3 cars stop at the end of our drive to change wheels due to the damage from this pot hole. From the the Hertfordshire sign which no longer exists heading towArds streatly there are numerous potholes that are exceptionally deep and dangerous and need to be addressed urgently before there is a fatal accident. These potholes have been filled in before Christmas but due to the Hugh lorries that use this road they have been churned up and broken.

This pothole was filled last year but the temporary filling has now become even worse today with many vehicles making extreme thuds and damaging their tyres outside the home. The debris is all over the road and driveway of my property but the lorries in particular, make a heavy thud and vibration into the property. I would expect to continue to receive claims by vehicles that are damaged after this was made even worse today. I would recommend filling as quickly as possible please. Thank you
