Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 3rd April
Customer wishes to report pothole and make a claim.
'When travelling on the A17 towards Sleaford I got onto the dual carriageway section of the A17 in the left hand lane. As I was approaching the brow of the hill and I was travelling at 60 mph and I hit one big pothole with my front left tire then hit another big pothole one after another. After hitting the second pothole my front left tire had burst causing it to go flat straight away.'

A17 Leadenham Hill, 28th March
The drains and culverts along the A17 on Leadenham Hill became completely blocked this past winter with mud/branches. There is now no drainage on this stretch of the road. At times of heavy rain, the road now has a virtual river running across the road (near the bottom of the hill in a south to north direction). I use this route at least twice a day and can see that there is a major accident waiting to happen with cars hitting this water at 60mph.

Customer wishes to report pothole and make a claim. 'Travelling towards Lincoln and having already dodged numerous potholes, as I approached this particular one it looked like it had been recently repaired, however as I went over it at normal speed limit 55/60 it caused a loud bang.'

Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 13th March
Customer wishes to report pothole and make a claim. 'The incident occurred on Mon 11 Mar 24 around 1250hrs as i was travelling back to RAF Cranwell via the A17-North Heath Lane to Sleaford. I was travelling in the left lane of the dual carriageway around 45mph due to traffic merging back into a single file. I did not see the pothole in my lane until it was too late and due to having vehicles to the right of me & a grass verge to the other i was unable to manoeuvre safely. I subsequently hit the pothole on my front driver side tyre whereby upon contact the tyre burst causing my car to veer slightly as i attempted to get it under control. I immediately put my hazards on, moving to the shoulder of the left lane to avoid impeding traffic. I managed to drive to the Sleaford Rd turning some 400yds ahead to safely pull over and inspect the damage prior to calling the RAC for roadside assistance.'
